About Ladybirds preschool
Highly qualified staff with excellent care
Ladybirds Pre School was set up in September 1996, growing from a small independent play group. It was established as a Pre School with four staff, our manager Barbara, being one of the original standing members.
At Ladybirds we welcome children aged between 2 years and school age. We have highly qualified staff, who offer excellent care and support to our children.
As a small setting we offer a home from home environment, this allows us to make frequent trips into our local community. We make visits to the local park to gather resources for an art project, or to open discussions about our environment. Each year our children walk to the fire station and are shown around, with an opportunity to sit in a fire engine and shoot the hose! We also make trips into town on the local bus to visit the Library.
Our connections with Fairfax House, the local Care Home, are strong as we visit the residents for singing and story time, arts, and crafts. We extend this by inviting them back to our pre-school for activities and they also come to the church to watch the children perform the Nativity at Christmas time.
The dedication of our staff enables us to offer a high quality of education and has earned us a high reputation within our local community. We follow the government’s Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and are inspected regularly by Ofsted.
At Ladybirds we offer a stimulating, safe and secure environment in which children can explore, play, learn and develop their skills.
Our pre-school has excellent facilities on offer, with high quality resources which engage children’s interest, encourage independence, and offer a wide range of choices.
We offer free flow play between inside and outside play areas. Our outside space offers a variety of equipment in an enclosed and secure play area, whilst we have access to further, grassy areas for further exploration.
